If you're a queer student reading this
You've already done the math. You know it doesn't add up.
The deposit. The flight. The housing. The gap your financial aid doesn't touch. You've been calculating it for months, and the number doesn't work, and so you've started quietly convincing yourself it's not for you.
It is for you. That's what this is.
Wandering With Pride funds the gap between what you have and what study abroad actually costs — for LGBTQ+ students who can't fall back on their parents, who are navigating financial stress on top of everything else it means to be queer and trying to get somewhere new.
of low-income students ever study abroad, vs. 40%+ of their wealthier peers.
NAFSA / IIE Open Doors, 2023
"Study abroad wasn't built for students who have to work during finals week to keep the lights on. We're building something that is."
Michael Eisinger, Founder & CEOWhat we do
Study abroad has documented outcomes. Low-income LGBTQ+ students are locked out of them.
Students who study abroad earn more, graduate at higher rates, and get hired faster.[1] That advantage shouldn't depend on your parents' income or your safety as a queer person. Wandering With Pride funds the experience and removes the financial pressure that follows students all the way there and back.

From the founder
The stress didn't start when I landed. It started three months before, scraping together deposits, booking flights with money I hadn't earned yet, running the math on whether I'd have enough to eat when I got there. By the time I arrived, I was already exhausted. That's what financial pressure actually steals from you — not the experience itself, but the ability to be present in it.Michael Eisinger, Founder & CEO, Wandering With Pride
