Wandering With Pride is actively recruiting advisors. We're looking for expertise in the areas we need most: education, travel, nonprofit finance, and LGBTQ+ advocacy.

This is a volunteer role. The commitment is real but not onerous. Your expertise matters more than your time.

Real talk

What this actually means.

We don't want advisors who show up to put a name on a page. We want people who care about what we're building and have specific expertise that helps us do it better.

Being an advisor means: occasional email check-ins, 2–4 hours per quarter at most, and willingness to give honest feedback when asked. It does not mean attending every meeting, fundraising, or managing anyone.

If that sounds like something you'd find meaningful, we'd like to talk.

Advisory roles include an optional annual financial contribution to help fund scholarships. We value expertise first; if a financial contribution isn't feasible, we still want to hear from you. Suggested contribution tiers are listed in the application below, but no one is turned away for inability to contribute financially.

Higher Education

Study abroad program directors, financial aid administrators, university DEI officers. Help us understand how students actually navigate these systems.

Travel Industry

Tour operators, travel agents, airline partnerships. Help us build the logistics infrastructure that makes safe LGBTQ+ travel possible.

Nonprofit Finance

CPAs, nonprofit financial managers, grant writing experience. Help us be the transparent, well-run organization we're committed to being.

LGBTQ+ Advocacy

Community organizers, advocacy directors, legal experts in LGBTQ+ rights. Help us understand the needs of the students we're trying to serve.

Legal & Compliance

Nonprofit attorneys, compliance specialists. Help us navigate the regulatory requirements of running a scholarship program.

Marketing & Communications

Brand strategists, PR professionals, community managers. Help us reach students who don't know we exist yet.
